Ingredients
- 200 g of white chocolate
- 3 medium ripe but still firm pears
- 150 g of soft butter
- 150 g of granulated sugar
- 3 large eggs
- 200 g of all-purpose flour

- Powdered sugar (for decorating)
Preparation

- Peel the pears, cut them in half, remove the core, and slice them not too thickly.
- In a large bowl, cream the soft butter with the granulated sugar until it is light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
- Gently fold in the sifted flour with the baking powder and a pinch of salt, mixing until the dough is smooth and without lumps.
- Add the melted white chocolate to the mixture and mix until it is well incorporated.
- Pour half of the batter into the prepared pan, lay some pear slices over it, and cover with the remaining batter.
- Complete by arranging the remaining pear slices on top in an attractive pattern.
- Bake the cake for about 40-45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.
- Remove the cake from the oven and let it cool before removing it from the pan. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
This cake can be served as a dessert after a meal or for a special snack. The contrast between the sweetness of the white chocolate and the light aroma of the pears makes this dessert a true delight.
Curiosity
Pear and chocolate are a classic pairing in patisserie, but using white chocolate instead of dark chocolate creates a more delicate taste and a richer texture. The combination with pear is perfect as the fruit, with its natural sweetness and softness, balances the intensity of the white chocolate.
