Two-Chocolate Donut
17/11/2023I will present to you the recipe for a two-tone donut with white chocolate and dark chocolate – a dessert that allows you to enjoy both the sweetness of white chocolate and the intensity of dark chocolate.
Ingredients
- 200 g of 00 flour
- 100 g of sugar
- 100 g of soft butter
- 3 eggs
- 100 ml of milk
- 1 packet of baking powder for sweets
- 1 pinch of salt
- 50 g of dark chocolate
- 50 g of white chocolate
- Vanilla essence (or vanillin)
- Icing sugar (for decoration)
Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 180 °C.
- In a bowl, cream the soft butter with the sugar until frothy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, incorporating the next once the previous one has been completely blended.
- Mix in the vanilla essence and a pinch of salt, then slowly pour in the sifted flour, alternating with the milk, and keep stirring.
- Divide the obtained mixture into two equal parts. Melt the two types of chocolate separately in a double boiler or microwave and allow them to cool slightly.
- Add the dark chocolate to one of the bowls and the white chocolate to the other, stirring well to incorporate the chocolate into the batter.
- Add half a packet of baking powder for sweets to each mixture and stir until you have two smooth batters.
- Grease and flour a donut pan. Pour in the dark chocolate batter first and then the white chocolate batter.
- Use a toothpick or the tip of a knife to draw spirals to create a marbled effect.
- Bake for about 35-40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the donut comes out clean.
- Remove the donut from the oven and let it cool completely before unmolding.
- Dust with icing sugar before serving.
Trivia
The two-chocolate donut is a sweet treat that is very popular with both children and adults, perfect for a snack or dessert. You can vary it as you like, for example by adding chopped hazelnuts or substituting half of the flour with almond flour for an even richer taste.
Happy baking and enjoy your meal!
