Turkey Cutlets

Turkey cutlets are a tasty and fairly simple dish to prepare. Here’s the recipe:

Ingredients

  • 4 turkey breast slices
  • Breadcrumbs as needed
  • 2 eggs
  • Salt as needed
  • Pepper as needed
  • Flour as needed for breading
  • Oil for frying (preferably olive oil)

Preparation

  1. Start by lightly pounding the turkey slices between two sheets of parchment paper or kitchen film, to make them thinner and more tender.
  2. Season the slices with salt and pepper on both sides.
  3. Prepare three plates with flour, beaten eggs, and breadcrumbs.
  4. Bread the turkey slices first in the flour, then in the egg, and finally in the breadcrumbs, making sure to cover them evenly.
  5. Heat a generous amount of oil in a pan, and when it has reached the right temperature, fry the cutlets until they are golden on both sides.
  6. Drain them on paper towels to remove excess oil.
  7. Serve hot.

Trivia

In Italian cuisine, Milanese cutlets are very similar to this dish, but they are generally made with veal meat. If you want to add an Italian touch to your turkey cutlets, you could add a bit of grated Parmesan cheese to the breadcrumbs, which will give an extra tasty touch to your dish.
