Spaghetti with Tuna and Olives

Spaghetti with tuna and olives is a simple and tasty dish, perfect for when you’re in the mood for a taste of the sea in your kitchen. Here is the recipe:

Ingredients

  • 320g of spaghetti
  • 200g of canned tuna in oil (better if of good quality)
  • 2 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • A handful of black olives (better if pitted)
  • Chopped parsley (to taste)
  • Salt (as needed)
  • Chili pepper (optional, to taste)

Preparation

  1. Bring a pot of salted water to a boil and cook the spaghetti al dente, following the instructions on the package.

  2. Meanwhile, in a frying pan large enough to later accommodate the spaghetti, heat the extra virgin olive oil and lightly fry the garlic clove without burning it. If you like chili pepper, you can add some at this stage.

  3. After a few minutes, remove the garlic and add the drained tuna. Cook for a couple of minutes, flaking it slightly with a fork.

  4. Add the black olives, chopped into small pieces, and sauté everything for a few more minutes, blending the flavors together.

  5. When the spaghetti is ready, drain it and transfer it to the frying pan with the tuna and olive sauce.

  6. Sauté everything together so that the pasta absorbs the flavors well.

  7. Add chopped fresh parsley, mix well, and serve immediately.
