Tortellini with Truffle Cream

Tortellini with Truffle Cream is an elegant dish that combines the tradition of stuffed pasta with the delicacy of truffles. Here’s the Italian recipe:

Ingredients

  • 250g of fresh tortellini (preferably stuffed with meat or cheese)
  • 1 jar of truffle cream (about 80g)
  • 100ml of cooking cream
  • 30g of butter
  • grated parmesan cheese to taste
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Fresh truffle for garnish (optional)

Preparation

  1. Bring a pot of salted water to a boil and cook the tortellini according to the instructions on the package, usually for 2-3 minutes or until they float to the surface.
  2. Meanwhile, in a pan, melt the butter over medium heat and add the truffle cream, stirring well.
  3. Add the cooking cream to the pan with the truffle cream and heat gently, being careful not to bring the mixture to a boil. If necessary, adjust the salt and pepper.
  4. Drain the tortellini and add them to the pan with the truffle cream, stirring gently to flavor them, being careful not to break them.
  5. Plate the tortellini dressed with truffle cream, sprinkle with grated parmesan, and, if you wish, garnish with freshly cut fresh truffle slices.
  6. Serve immediately.

Curiosity

The truffle is a fungus highly appreciated in cooking for its intense and unique aroma. There are different varieties of truffles, including the precious white truffle and the black truffle, both used to enrich dishes with their distinctive taste. Truffle cream, derived from the processing of these mushrooms, is a convenient way to add a touch of elegance to various dishes.
