Tiramisu in a glass

Preparing tiramisu in a glass is an elegant and practical way to serve this delicious dessert. Here’s the recipe:

Ingredients

  • 250 g of mascarpone
  • 2 large eggs (with yolks and whites separated)
  • 80 g of powdered sugar
  • 200 ml of ready-made and cold coffee
  • Ladyfingers to taste (depending on the size of the glasses)
  • Unsweetened cocoa powder for dusting
  • Optional: liqueur (such as Marsala, Amaretto or coffee) to flavor - 1 or 2 tablespoons

Preparation

  1. Start by separating the yolks from the whites of the two eggs.
  2. Whisk the yolks with the powdered sugar until you have a light and fluffy mixture.
  3. Add the mascarpone to the yolk and sugar mixture and mix gently until you have a smooth emulsion.
  4. In another bowl, whip the egg whites until they are firm but not too dry.
  5. Gently fold the whipped egg whites into the mascarpone mixture using a spatula, with bottom-up movements so as not to deflate them.
  6. If you wish to add a touch of liqueur, mix it with the cold coffee.
  7. Now break the ladyfingers into pieces that fit your glasses and start assembling the tiramisu with a layer of ladyfingers briefly soaked in coffee.
  8. Layer on a layer of mascarpone cream and proceed by alternating the soaked ladyfingers and the cream until the glasses are filled.
  9. Finish with a layer of cream and dust the surface with unsweetened cocoa powder.
  10. Let it rest in the refrigerator for at least a couple of hours before serving.
