Cupcakes with Two-Chocolate Cream
17/11/2023The cupcakes with two-chocolate cream are a delightful dessert that combines the sweetness of milk chocolate with the intensity of dark chocolate.
Ingredients
For the cupcakes:
- 200 g of all-purpose flour
- 150 g of sugar
- 80 g of butter at room temperature
- 2 eggs
- 1 packet of baking powder
- 1 pinch of salt
For the two-chocolate cream:
- 100 g of dark chocolate
- 100 g of milk chocolate
- 200 ml of fresh cream for whipping
- 50 g of powdered sugar

Prepare the cupcakes:
- In a bowl, cream the soft butter with the sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Sift in the flour with the baking powder and a pinch of salt, then mix until you have a smooth, homogeneous dough.
- Fill cupcake liners or small cake molds up to 2/3 of their height with the batter.
- Bake at 180 °C for about 20 minutes or until the cupcakes are golden brown and well-risen. Do the skewer test to ensure they are cooked inside.
- Remove from the oven and let cool completely.

Prepare the two-chocolate cream:
- Break both types of chocolate into pieces and put them in two separate bowls.
- In a saucepan, bring the fresh cream with the powdered sugar to a boil, then pour half over the dark chocolate and half over the milk chocolate.
- Let sit for a minute and then mix each bowl until you have two smooth and glossy creams.
- Allow the creams to cool and thicken, stirring occasionally.

Assemble the cupcakes:
- When both the cupcakes and the creams are cool, proceed to fill the cupcakes: you can use a piping bag to layer first a layer of milk chocolate cream and then a layer of dark chocolate cream.
- Decorate to taste, maybe with chocolate shavings or colored sprinkles.
