17/11/2023Here is the recipe for a delicious strawberry grape ice cream in a wafer cone. Fruit ice cream is a fresh and light preparation, great for the warm months, but also pleasant when you want a less demanding dessert.
Ingredients
- 500 grams of strawberry grapes
- 150 grams of granulated sugar (or to taste)
- Juice of 1 lemon
- 250 ml of water
- Ready-made ice cream wafer cones
Preparation
- Thoroughly wash the strawberry grapes and remove the seeds if necessary.
- In a saucepan, combine water and sugar and bring to a boil to create a simple syrup. Allow to cool completely.
- Meanwhile, in a blender or with an immersion mixer, blend the strawberry grapes together with the lemon juice until smooth.
- Strain the strawberry grape mixture through a sieve to remove the skins and any remaining seeds.
- Add the strained strawberry grape mixture to the cold sugar syrup and mix well.
- Pour the mixture into an ice cream maker and follow the machine’s instructions to churn the ice cream. If you do not have an ice cream maker, you can put the mixture in a suitable container for the freezer and stir it every 30-60 minutes for the first 4-6 hours to break any ice crystals, thus obtaining a creamier consistency.
- Once the ice cream has reached the desired consistency, serve it in the wafer cones.
If strawberry grapes are not available, you can use another type of grape or mix of grapes depending on taste and availability. For a tastier variant, you might add a pinch of cinnamon or vanilla to the strawberry grape mixture to enhance the flavor.
Trivia
