Ingredients

  • 150 g of sugar
  • 100 g of soft butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 250 g of flour

  • 50 g of flaked or chopped almonds

Preparation

  1. Preheat the oven to 180 °C and prepare a muffin tin by lining it with paper liners.
  2. Wash and cut the strawberries into small pieces. Set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, beat the soft butter with the sugar until you get a light and fluffy cream.
  4. Add the eggs, one at a time, continuing to beat after each addition.
  5. In another bowl, sift the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  6. Add the dry ingredients to the butter and egg mixture, alternating with the milk, and mix until just incorporated.
  7. Gently fold in the cut strawberries and almonds, mixing with a spatula to distribute them evenly in the batter.
  8. Fill the liners about 3/4 of their height.
  9. Bake the muffins and cook for about 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center of a muffin comes out clean.
  10. Let the muffins cool in the pan for a few minutes, then transfer them to a rack to complete cooling.
