Spicy Crab Linguine

Spicy crab linguine is a rich and flavorful dish that combines the delicacy of crab with the spiciness of chili pepper. Here is the recipe.

Ingredients

  • 320 g of linguine
  • 300 g of crab meat (fresh or canned, well drained)
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • Fresh or flaked chili pepper (to taste, depending on spice tolerance)
  • Chopped fresh parsley
  • 250 ml of tomato sauce
  • Extra virgin olive oil
  • Salt to taste
  • A glass of white wine (optional)

Preparation

  1. Put a pot of salted water to boil for the linguine. When boiling, cook the pasta until al dente, following the timing listed on the package.
  2. In the meantime, in a large pan, heat a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil with the peeled cloves of garlic and the chili pepper. Fry on low heat to flavor the oil without burning the garlic.
  3. Add the crab meat to the pan and sauté everything for a few minutes.
  4. Deglaze with white wine (if using this option), let it evaporate, then add the tomato sauce and adjust the salt. Let the sauce cook on moderate heat for about 10-15 minutes.
  5. Drain the al dente linguine and add them to the pan with the crab sauce. If necessary, add some pasta cooking water to thin out the sauce.
  6. Toss them for a minute with the sauce, then sprinkle with the chopped fresh parsley.
  7. Serve the spicy crab linguine hot and, if you like, add some more chopped fresh chili pepper or chili flakes for an extra touch of spiciness.

To add an even more Italian touch, you might sprinkle a pinch of grated lemon zest when serving to enhance the freshness of the dish. Enjoy your meal!
