Spaghetti with squids and cherry tomatoes
17/11/2023Spaghetti with squids and cherry tomatoes is a Mediterranean dish that expertly marries the flavors of the sea with the freshness of the garden. Here is the recipe to prepare this delicious dish:
Ingredients
- 320 g of spaghetti
- 400 g of squids (already cleaned)
- 250 g of cherry tomatoes
- 2 cloves of garlic
- Fresh parsley to taste
- Extra virgin olive oil
- Salt to taste
- Chili pepper (optional)
Preparation
-
Start by cleaning the squids if they haven’t already been cleaned: remove the head, guts, and internal cartilaginous pen. Rinse them well under running water and cut them into rings or leave them whole according to preference.
-
Wash the cherry tomatoes and cut them in half or into quarters.
-
In a large pan, heat a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil with the peeled garlic cloves (and if you like, a piece of chili pepper to give a spicy touch to the dish).
-
When the garlic starts to sizzle, add the squids and sauté them over high heat for 1-2 minutes.
-
Add the cherry tomatoes to the pan and cook everything for another 5-7 minutes, adjusting the salt.
-
Meanwhile, cook the spaghetti in plenty of salted water following the cooking times indicated on the package to achieve the classic al dente texture.
-
Drain the spaghetti and pour them into the pan with the seasoning of squids and cherry tomatoes. Stir well over high heat so that the pasta absorbs all the flavors.
-
Serve immediately, garnishing with chopped fresh parsley.
