Ingredients
- 200 g of all-purpose flour
- 120 g of soft butter
- 100 g of granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- A pinch of salt
- 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder
- 100 g of fresh strawberries
- Powdered sugar (optional, for decorating)
Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 180 °C and prepare a baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper.
- Clean and cut the strawberries into small pieces.
- In a bowl, cream the soft butter with the granulated sugar until the mixture is fluffy and light.
- Add the egg and vanilla extract, continuing to stir.
- In another bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter, egg, and sugar mixture, mixing until you obtain a uniform dough.
- Gently fold the strawberries into the batter.
- Using two teaspoons or a small ice cream scoop, take portions of dough and place them on the baking sheet, leaving some space between each cookie.
- Bake the cookies for about 15-18 minutes or until the edges start to turn golden slightly.
- Remove the cookies from the oven and let them cool on a wire rack.
- Once cooled, you can dust them with powdered sugar for a sweet and decorative finish.
