Ingredients

  • Very thin slices of meat (beef or veal), about 12
  • Slices of prosciutto, 12

Preparation

  1. Take the meat slices and lightly pound them with a meat mallet to make them even thinner.
  2. Spread a slice of prosciutto and a slice of cheese on each meat slice. Add a sage leaf in the center.
  3. Roll up the rolls starting from the narrower end to keep the filling well sealed.
  4. Thread the rolls onto the skewers, alternating with pieces of vegetables such as bell peppers, onions, or cherry tomatoes if you wish.
  5. Dress the skewers with a drizzle of oil, salt, and pepper.
  6. Cook on a hot grill or a well-heated grill pan until the rolls are golden brown on all sides.
