Ingredients
- 200 g of oil-packed tuna, drained
- 150 ml of fresh cooking cream
- 1 tablespoon of salted capers, rinsed and chopped
- 2 tablespoons of caper flowers (if available)
- Juice of 1/2 lemon
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Extra virgin olive oil to taste

Preparation
- Start by draining the tuna from the oil. Place it in a mixer or in a bowl if you plan to use a hand blender.
- Add the fresh cream, chopped capers, and lemon juice to the tuna.
- Activate the mixer or hand blender until you obtain a smooth and homogeneous cream. If the texture is too thick, you can add a bit more cream to reach the desired softness.
- Taste and adjust the seasoning with salt and pepper, and add a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil to enhance the flavor, if necessary.
- If you use sandwich bread, toast the slices in a toaster or oven until they become crispy and golden. If you have baguette sticks, they can be served fresh or slightly warmed.
- Spread the tuna cream on the toasted bread or baguette sticks.
- Garnish with caper flowers which will add a special aesthetic and aromatic note to the dish.
