Scrambled Eggs

Scrambled eggs are a classic for breakfast but can also be enjoyed as a simple and fast dish for lunch or dinner. Here is a quick and easy version to prepare scrambled eggs.

Ingredients

  • 4 eggs
  • 2 tablespoons of milk (optional)
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste
  • Butter or olive oil, for the pan
  • Fresh aromatic herbs such as chopped chives or parsley (optional)

Preparation

  1. Crack the eggs into a bowl and lightly beat them with a fork or a whisk. If you like, add two tablespoons of milk to make the eggs creamier.
  2. Add a pinch of salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat and add a little butter or olive oil.
  4. Pour the eggs into the hot pan and wait a moment for them to start cooking from the bottom.
  5. With a spatula, start stirring the eggs gently from the edge towards the center.
  6. Continue to stir slowly, always bringing the more cooked part towards the center and letting the liquid part reach the heat of the pan.
  7. When the eggs are still slightly moist but not liquid, remove the eggs from the heat. They will continue to cook with their residual heat.
  8. Serve immediately, garnished with chopped fresh aromatic herbs if desired.
