Salted Ricotta Balls

Ingredients
- 250 g of ricotta cheese
- 50 g of grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 egg
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Aromatic herbs of your choice (basil, chives, parsley, etc.)
- Breadcrumbs as needed
- Seed oil for frying
Preparation
- In a bowl, mix the ricotta with the grated Parmesan cheese. Add the egg and a pinch of salt and pepper. Blend everything well until you have a homogeneous mixture.
- Finely chop the aromatic herbs of your choice and incorporate them into the ricotta mixture.
- Take small portions of the mixture and, with your hands, form balls of even size. If the mixture is too soft to work with, you can refrigerate the bowl for about 30 minutes to slightly harden it.
- Roll each ball in breadcrumbs, coating them evenly.
- Heat a generous amount of seed oil in a frying pan. Once the oil has reached the right temperature, fry the ricotta balls until they are golden brown, making sure they are evenly browned on all sides.
- As the balls are ready, drain them and place them on paper towels to remove excess oil.
- Serve the ricotta balls warm or at room temperature, depending on preference.
