Paprika Savory Biscuits
17/11/2023Paprika savory biscuits are a perfect choice for an aperitif or a tasty snack. Here is the recipe to prepare them:
Ingredients
- 250 g of flour
- 100 g of cold butter, cubed
- 1 teaspoon of sweet paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt
- 50 g of grated cheese (Parmesan or Pecorino)
- 1 egg
- 2 tablespoons of cold water (if necessary)
Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 180 °C and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, mix the flour with the paprika and salt.
- Add the cold butter and work the mixture with your fingertips until you get a sandy consistency.
- Stir in the grated cheese, then add the egg and knead to obtain a homogeneous mixture. If the dough is too dry, add a little cold water to help bind the ingredients.
- Roll out the dough on a lightly floured surface until about 5 mm thick.
- Cut out the biscuits using a cookie cutter or a shape of your choice and place them on the prepared tray.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes or until the biscuits are golden and crispy.
- Leave to cool on a wire rack before serving.
