Paccheri with Salmon
17/11/2023Paccheri with salmon is a delicious and relatively simple dish to prepare. Here is the recipe.
Ingredients
- 350 g of paccheri
- 200 g of smoked salmon
- 200 ml of cooking cream
- 1 shallot
- Vodka to taste
- Extra virgin olive oil to taste
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
- Fresh dill (optional)
Preparation
- Start by finely chopping the shallot and sauté it in a pan with a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil.
- Cut the smoked salmon into strips or cubes and add it to the sautéed shallot.
- Deglaze with a bit of vodka and let the alcohol evaporate.
- Add the cooking cream, adjust with salt and pepper, and let cook on low heat for a few minutes until the sauce starts to thicken.
- Meanwhile, bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the paccheri following the timing indicated on the package to obtain pasta that is al dente.
- Drain the paccheri and transfer them to the pan with the salmon and cream sauce. Toss for a minute or two to let the flavors meld together.
- If you like, add some chopped fresh dill for an extra touch of flavor.
- Serve the paccheri with salmon hot.
You can garnish the dish with some chive strands or a few pieces of smoked salmon on top for a more elegant effect. Also, you can add a touch of freshness with some lemon juice at the end of cooking if you like the citrus note. Enjoy your meal!
