Big Salmon and Avocado Salad

The big salad with salmon and avocado is a fresh and nutritious dish, perfect for a light but filling lunch or a summer dinner. Here’s how to prepare it:

Ingredients

  • 200 g of smoked salmon
  • 1 ripe avocado
  • Mixed salad greens (lettuce, arugula, radicchio, etc.)
  • 1 ripe tomato or a handful of cherry tomatoes
  • 1/2 red onion
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • Extra-virgin olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • (Optional) Sesame seeds or poppy seeds for garnish
  • (Optional) Olives, to add a Mediterranean flavor

Preparation

  1. Start by washing and drying the salad leaves you’ve chosen for your mix. Cut them if necessary and place them in a large salad bowl as the base for your big salad.
  2. Take the smoked salmon and cut it into strips or cubes, as you prefer, then add it to the salad.
  3. Peel the avocado and remove the pit. Cut the flesh into slices or cubes, dress with a bit of lemon juice to prevent it from browning, and add it to the salad.
  4. Wash the tomato (or cherry tomatoes) and cut it into wedges or cubes and put it in the salad bowl.
  5. Thinly slice the red onion and add it to the other ingredients.
  6. Dress everything with extra-virgin olive oil, the remaining lemon juice, salt, and pepper to taste. Mix well to blend all the ingredients.
  7. As a final touch, you can add sesame or poppy seeds for a crunchy ornamental touch. If you like, you can also add some black or green olives.

The uniqueness of this big salad lies in the combination of flavors and textures: the creaminess of the avocado, the strong taste of the salmon, and the freshness of the greens create a balanced and pleasant blend to the palate.

Remember that it’s always better to dress the salad immediately before serving, so the leaves will stay crisp and fresh. Enjoy your meal!
