Ingredients
- 1 roll of rectangular puff pastry
- 2 apples (Golden or Renette)
- Juice of 1 lemon
- 2 tablespoons of brown sugar
- 1 pinch of ground cinnamon
- 1 egg yolk for brushing
- Icing sugar for decoration
Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 180 °C.
- Peel the apples, remove the core and cut them into small pieces. Put them in a bowl with lemon juice, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Mix well.
- Roll out the puff pastry and cut it into squares of about 10 cm on each side.
- Place some of the apple filling in the center of each square of puff pastry.
- Fold the puff pastry over the filling to form a triangle or a bundle, sealing the edges with the tines of a fork.
- Brush the bundles with beaten egg yolk to give them a nice golden color during baking.
- Bake the bundles on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper for about 20 minutes or until golden.
- Let the bundles cool before dusting them with icing sugar.
