Pizza muffin
17/11/2023Pizza Muffins are an original and fun recipe for an appetizer or a snack inspired by the flavors of pizza, but in the form of a muffin. Here’s how to make them:
Ingredients
- 250 g of flour
- 150 ml of milk
- 80 ml of extra virgin olive oil
- 2 eggs
- 1 sachet of instant yeast for savory preparations
- 100 g of mozzarella
- 50 g of diced salami or cubed cooked ham
- 2 tablespoons of tomato paste
- Oregano to taste
- Salt to taste
- Oil for greasing the muffin pan
Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 180 °C.
- In a bowl, mix the flour with the yeast for savory preparations and a pinch of salt.
- Add the eggs, milk, and olive oil to the flour mixture and blend well until you obtain a homogeneous dough.
- Cut the mozzarella into cubes and add it to the mixture along with the salami or cooked ham and tomato paste. Mix well to evenly distribute the ingredients.
- Also add a pinch of oregano, according to your taste.
- Butter and flour the muffin molds or line them with paper cups.
- Fill the molds about 3/4 full with the dough, making sure to evenly distribute the solid ingredients.
- Bake in the middle of the oven for about 20-25 minutes or until the muffins are golden brown and well risen. You can use a toothpick to test for doneness: if it comes out clean when inserted into the center of a muffin, they are ready.
- Let the Pizza Muffins cool for a few minutes before unmolding and serve.
