Peaches in Puff Pastry
17/11/2023Peaches in puff pastry are an elegant and delicious dessert, perfect as the conclusion of a refined dinner or as a dessert to serve on special occasions. Here’s how to prepare them.
Ingredients
- 4 ripe but still firm peaches
 - 1 roll of puff pastry
 - 30 g of melted butter
 - 2 tablespoons of brown sugar
 - 1 egg (for brushing)
 - Powdered sugar (for decorating)
 - Cinnamon to taste (optional)

Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 180 °C (350 °F).
 - Wash the peaches and cut them in half, removing the pits.
 - Roll out the puff pastry and cut it into squares large enough to wrap around each half of the peach.
 - Place a peach half in the center of each puff pastry square, with the cut side facing up.
 - Sprinkle a bit of brown sugar and some melted butter over each peach half. If you wish, you can also add a pinch of cinnamon for a spicy touch.
 - Fold the puff pastry over the peach, sealing it well on the sides to form a sort of well-sealed package. You can give the pastry any shape you prefer, for example, “gluing” the edges with a bit of beaten egg.
 - Brush the outside with beaten egg on each wrapped peach to obtain a golden surface once baked.
 - Arrange the peaches in puff pastry on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
 - Bake for about 20-25 minutes or until the pastry is golden and crispy.
 - Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes.
 - Before serving, dust with powdered sugar for an even more delicious effect.
