Pavesini pops

Pavesini pops are a creative and fun version of a spoon dessert, using the famous Pavesini biscuits as a base. They are balls of biscuit and cream on a stick, reminiscent of the well-known cake pops. Let’s see how to make them.

Ingredients

  • 200 grams of Pavesini
  • 200 grams of mascarpone
  • 100 grams of dark chocolate
  • 50 grams of powdered sugar
  • Butter to taste
  • Toothpicks or lollipop sticks
  • Colored sprinkles, sugar strands, or hazelnut nibs for decoration

Preparation

  1. Finely grind the Pavesini in a mixer until you have a powder.
  2. In a bowl, mix the mascarpone with the powdered sugar until you have a smooth mixture.
  3. Add the ground Pavesini to the mascarpone and mix until you have a moldable dough.
  4. Take portions of the dough and form balls about 2-3 cm in diameter.
  5. Insert a stick or toothpick into each ball.
  6. Place the balls in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes so they become firmer.
  7. Meanwhile, melt the dark chocolate in a double boiler with a little butter to make it more fluid.
  8. Dip each ball into the melted chocolate, letting the excess drip off.
  9. Decorate them with sprinkles, sugar strands, or hazelnut nibs before the chocolate solidifies.
  10. Let the Pavesini pops cool in the refrigerator for an hour before serving.
