Veal Bites with Paprika
17/11/2023Veal bites with paprika are a tasty and relatively simple dish to prepare. Here’s how to do it:
Ingredients
- 500 g of veal, cut into cubes
 - 2 tablespoons of flour
 - 2 tablespoons of sweet paprika
 - Salt and pepper to taste
 - 1 onion, finely chopped
 - 2 cloves of garlic, minced
 - 2 tablespoons of olive oil
 - 200 ml of beef broth
 - 100 ml of cream
 - Fresh parsley, chopped (optional for garnishing)

Preparation
- In a bowl, mix the flour with paprika, salt, and pepper. Coat the veal cubes in this mixture until well covered.
 - Heat the oil in a pan over medium-high heat and add the floured veal cubes. Brown the meat until golden on all sides.
 - Remove the bites from the pan and set aside.
 - In the same pan, add the chopped onion and garlic, and fry until they become translucent.
 - Put the veal bites back in the pan with the onion and garlic, add the beef broth and bring to a boil.
 - Lower the heat, cover, and let simmer for about 1 hour or until the meat is tender.
 - Add the cream and cook for another 5-10 minutes until the sauce has thickened slightly.
 - Taste and adjust salt and pepper if necessary.
 - Serve the veal bites with paprika sprinkled with chopped fresh parsley for a touch of color and freshness.

Note:
If you want an Italian twist on this dish, you could use fresh rosemary instead of parsley and a splash of white wine before adding the broth to deglaze the pan and add an additional layer of flavor. A drizzle of raw extra virgin olive oil before serving is always welcome.
Enjoy your meal!
