17/11/2023The pan-fried sea bream fillets and potatoes is a simple and tasty dish that combines the delicate flavor of the fish with the more rustic taste of the potatoes. Here is the recipe for preparing this delicious dish.
Ingredients
- 4 sea bream fillets (about 150-200 g each)
- 4 medium potatoes
- 2 cloves of garlic
- Fresh parsley to taste
- Extra virgin olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
- Start by peeling and slicing the potatoes into thin slices, then wash them under running water to remove excess starch.
- In a good-sized frying pan, heat a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil and add the peeled garlic cloves. Let them brown and then remove them.
- Put the potato slices in the pan in a single layer if possible, salt and pepper them, then let them cook over medium heat with a lid. Turn them occasionally to cook evenly until tender, which should take about 15-20 minutes.
- In the meantime, prepare the sea bream fillets by lightly salting them. When the potatoes are almost ready, move them to one side of the pan and lay the sea bream fillets on the other side.
- Cook the fish for about 3-4 minutes per side, depending on thickness, until the flesh turns opaque and flakes easily with a fork.
- At the end of cooking, sprinkle the dish with chopped fresh parsley to add a touch of color and flavor.
- Serve the sea bream fillets and potatoes hot straight from the pan.
