Mixed Seafood Grill

The mixed seafood grill is a perfect summer dish that captures the full flavor of fresh fish and seafood. Here is a simple recipe:

Ingredients

  • Various types of fish and seafood of your choice (for example: prawns, langoustines, squid, cuttlefish, swordfish steaks or sea bass)
  • Extra virgin olive oil
  • Lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Garlic powder or chopped fresh garlic (optional)
  • Aromatic herbs such as chopped fresh parsley or thyme

Preparation

  1. Prepare the fish and seafood for the grill, cleaning them well and, if necessary, cutting the squid into rings and the cuttlefish into strips.

  2. Preheat the grill to medium-high temperature.

  3. Meanwhile, in a small bowl, mix extra virgin olive oil, lemon juice, salt, pepper, and garlic to create a marinade.

  4. Brush the seafood and fish with the marinade before placing them on the hot grill.

  5. Grill each type of fish or seafood for the appropriate time, flipping them gently just once during cooking. The time will vary depending on the species and thickness (for example, prawns will require about 2-3 minutes per side, swordfish 4-5 minutes per side).

  6. Once grilled, transfer the seafood and fish to a serving platter and sprinkle with more fresh aromatic herbs.

  7. Serve with additional lemon juice and, if desired, lemon slices on the side for those who want to add an extra touch of acidity.

The mixed seafood grill is perfect for sharing with friends and family, perhaps accompanied by a fresh salad or grilled vegetables. Remember to always have the fish and seafood as fresh as possible to ensure the best flavor. Enjoy your meal!
