Panettoncini with chocolate chips
17/11/2023Here is the recipe to prepare delicious panettoncini with chocolate chips, perfect for the holidays or a sweet moment of pleasure.
Ingredients
- 250 g of manitoba flour
- 250 g of all-purpose flour
- 200 g of chocolate chips
- 130 g of sugar
- 120 ml of lukewarm milk
- 100 g of soft butter
- 2 eggs
- 12 g of fresh yeast
- Grated zest of 1 orange
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla essence
- 1 teaspoon of honey
- A pinch of salt
Preparation
- Start by slightly warming the milk and dissolving the fresh yeast in it along with a teaspoon of sugar, then let it rest for a few minutes until a froth forms on the surface.
- In a large bowl, mix the sifted flours with the sugar, then add the eggs, honey, softened butter cut into pieces, the grated orange zest, vanilla essence, and the milk with the dissolved yeast.
- Knead well until the mixture is smooth and homogeneous, then add a pinch of salt and continue kneading.
- Add the chocolate chips and gently mix to distribute them evenly in the dough.
- Cover with a clean kitchen cloth and let it rise in a warm place for about 2 hours, or until the dough has doubled in size.
- After rising, take the dough, divide it into portions of about 80 g each, and form small panettoncini, placing them in the appropriate paper molds or a multipurpose mold for mini-panettone previously buttered.
- Let the panettoncini rise again for about 1 hour, then bake them in a preheated oven at 180 °C for about 15-20 minutes, or until they are golden and well risen.
- Take the panettoncini out of the oven and let them cool before serving.
