Mini bounty

The Mini Bounty are treats that resemble the famous coconut chocolates. They are simple to make and very delicious. Here’s how to prepare them.

Ingredients

  • 200 g of shredded coconut
  • 200 ml of condensed milk
  • 200 g of dark chocolate for the coating

Preparation

  1. In a bowl, mix the shredded coconut with the condensed milk until a homogeneous mixture is obtained.
  2. Take small portions of the dough and form bars or balls, depending on the shape you want to give your Mini Bounty.
  3. Arrange the bars on a sheet of parchment paper and put them in the fridge for about an hour, until they harden.
  4. Meanwhile, melt the dark chocolate in a double boiler or microwave, being careful not to burn it.
  5. When the bars have hardened, dip them in the melted chocolate, making sure they are completely covered.
  6. Put the chocolate-covered Mini Bounty back on the parchment paper and leave them in the refrigerator until the chocolate has solidified.

Curiosity

The name Bounty comes from the chocolate and coconut bar produced by Mars, Incorporated. These homemade treats can be customized with variations, such as using milk or white chocolate, and adding flavours like vanilla or a pinch of salt to enhance the tastes.

Remember that if you need some Italian twists, you could, for example, add a bit of amaretto liqueur to the mixture for an extra flavor touch or replace dark chocolate with a good quality gianduia chocolate.
