Meatball Skewers

Meatball skewers are a creative and fun way to serve simple meatballs. Here is the recipe for delicious meatball skewers.

Ingredients

  • 500g ground meat (beef, pork, or a combination of the two)
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cloves of garlic, finely chopped
  • 50g breadcrumbs
  • 50g grated Parmesan cheese
  • Chopped parsley to taste
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • Extra virgin olive oil
  • Wooden sticks for skewers

Preparation

  1. In a large bowl, combine the ground meat, egg, chopped garlic, breadcrumbs, Parmesan, parsley, salt, and pepper.
  2. Mix all the ingredients well until a homogeneous mixture is obtained.
  3. Divide the mixture into small portions and form round meatballs, trying to make them uniform in size.
  4. Soak wooden sticks in cold water for about 20 minutes to prevent them from burning during cooking.
  5. Thread 3 or 4 meatballs on each wooden stick, leaving a bit of space between them to ensure even cooking.
  6. Heat a grill or pan and lightly oil it with olive oil.
  7. Cook the meatball skewers, turning them frequently, until they are nicely browned and cooked to the desired doneness (about 8-10 minutes).
  8. Serve hot, perhaps with a side of grilled vegetables or a sauce of your choice.
