Marshmallow Ghosts
17/11/2023Marshmallow ghosts are fun and easy-to-make treats, perfect for themed parties like Halloween. Here’s the recipe:
Ingredients
- Large Marshmallows
- Dark chocolate or decorating chocolate
- Toothpicks or lollipop sticks (optional)
Preparation
- Melt the dark chocolate in a double boiler or microwave, making sure not to burn it. If using the microwave, heat in 20-second intervals, stirring each time until it is completely melted.
- Allow the chocolate to cool just enough to handle, but make sure it stays fluid for decorating.
- Take each marshmallow and place it on a plate or a flat surface.
- If you want to create a “stand-up” effect, you can insert a toothpick or a lollipop stick into the base of each marshmallow.
- Use a small kitchen brush or a toothpick to draw eyes and a mouth on the marshmallows with the melted chocolate. For a ghostly effect, you can make wide-open eyes and a mouth.
- Let the chocolate solidify completely. You can speed up the process by placing the marshmallows in the refrigerator for a few minutes.
- Once the chocolate is dry and your little ghosts are ready, they are ready to be served.
Trivia
Although marshmallow ghosts are very simple to make, they can be personalized in many ways. For example, you can use white chocolate colored with food colorings to create colored ghosts, or you can add small paper hats or other accessories to make each ghost unique.
