Pork Loin Slices with Paprika
17/11/2023The loin is a very versatile cut of meat, and paprika adds a nice touch of flavor and color to the dish. Here is the recipe for pork loin slices with paprika with an Italian twist.
Ingredients
- 4 pork loin slices
- 1 tablespoon of sweet paprika
- 1 teaspoon of smoked paprika (optional for a smoky note)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 clove of garlic
- 2 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil
- 1/2 glass of white wine
- Chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)
Preparation
-
Take the pork loin slices and pat them dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt, pepper, and paprika, both sweet and smoked if you decide to use it. Let the meat marinate for a few minutes.
-
In the meantime, heat the oil in a skillet and add the peeled garlic clove. Sauté the garlic until golden brown, then remove it from the skillet.
-
Place the pork loin slices in the skillet and cook for about 3-4 minutes per side, until well browned.
-
Deglaze with white wine and let the alcohol evaporate over high heat for a couple of minutes.
-
Lower the flame and continue cooking for another 5-8 minutes, turning the slices occasionally, until they are cooked through.
-
At the end of cooking, remove the pork loin slices from the skillet and let them rest for a minute.
-
Plate the pork loin slices and sprinkle with chopped fresh parsley. Use the remaining cooking juices in the skillet to pour over the slices for an extra touch of flavor.
Serve the pork loin slices with paprika with a light side dish, like a fresh salad or some roasted vegetables. Enjoy your meal!
