Pork Tenderloin Rolls

Pork tenderloin rolls are a tasty main course that you can easily prepare by following this recipe.

Ingredients

  • 500 g of pork tenderloin, cut into thin slices
  • 150 g of cured ham
  • 100 g of smoked scamorza cheese
  • Fresh sage
  • Fresh rosemary
  • Extra virgin olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Preparation

  1. Start by flattening the pork slices with a meat mallet to make them thinner and more manageable.
  2. Season the meat slices on both sides with salt and pepper.
  3. Cut the smoked scamorza into thin slices.
  4. On each slice of meat, place a thin slice of cured ham, a slice of scamorza, and a sage leaf.
  5. Roll up the meat, ham, scamorza, and sage together and secure the rolls with a toothpick or kitchen twine.
  6. In a large skillet, heat the extra virgin olive oil and add a sprig of rosemary.
  7. Brown the rolls on all sides until golden.
  8. At this point, you can decide whether to continue cooking in the pan, adding a little water and covering, simmering on low heat for about 20 minutes, or baking in a preheated oven at 180 °C for the same amount of time.
  9. Make sure the rolls are properly cooked; the meat should be tender and juicy.

Serve the rolls hot, perhaps accompanied by a side of grilled vegetables or a fresh salad.
