Chocolate Cake
17/11/2023The Chocolate Cake is a delightful chocolate dessert with a soft and moist texture, very similar to a brownie. If you don’t have any of the ingredients listed, let me know and I will suggest some alternatives.
Ingredients
- 200 g of dark chocolate
- 150 g of butter
- 150 g of sugar
- 3 eggs
- 50 g of all-purpose flour
- 1 packet of vanilla sugar (or a teaspoon of vanilla extract)
- A pinch of salt
- Powdered sugar for decoration
Preparation

Start by preheating the oven to 180°C.

Melt the dark chocolate in a bain-marie or microwave, being careful not to burn it. Once melted, add the butter in pieces and stir until you get a smooth and homogeneous cream.

In a separate bowl, beat the eggs with the sugar until the mixture is frothy and light. Add the vanilla sugar or vanilla extract.

Gently mix the melted chocolate and butter into the egg and sugar mixture.

Sift the flour with a pinch of salt and fold it into the rest of the batter, stirring from bottom to top to avoid deflating the mixture.

Pour the batter into a buttered and floured cake tin or lined with parchment paper.

Bake the cake for about 20-25 minutes. The chocolate cake must remain moist in the center, so be careful not to overcook it.

Let the cake cool before removing it from the cake tin, then dust with powdered sugar to decorate before serving.
