Lemon Marmalade Cake

Ingredients

  • 200 g of all-purpose flour
  • 150 g of sugar
  • 100 g of butter at room temperature
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 packet of baking powder

  • A pinch of salt
  • Lemon marmalade (about 200-300 g, depending on your preference)

Preparation

  1. Preheat the oven to 180 °C.
  2. In a bowl, cream the soft butter with sugar until you have a frothy and light mixture.
  3. Add the eggs, one at a time, continuing to mix.
  4. Stir in the grated lemon zest and a pinch of salt.
  5. Sift the flour and baking powder and add them to the mixture, blending well until you get a smooth batter.

  8. Cover with the remaining batter.
  9. Bake in the oven for about 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center of the cake comes out clean.
