Lemon Ciambellone
17/11/2023The Lemon Ciambellone is a classic Italian cake perfect for breakfast or snack time. Here is the recipe to prepare it.
Ingredients
- 300 g of all-purpose flour
- 250 g of granulated sugar
- 100 ml of vegetable oil
- 120 ml of milk
- 3 eggs
- Grated zest of 2 untreated lemons
- Juice of 1 lemon
- 1 packet of baking powder
- A pinch of salt
Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 180 °C.
- In a bowl, whisk the eggs with the sugar until you obtain a light and fluffy mixture.
- Slowly add the oil, continuing to stir.
- Incorporate the grated lemon zest and lemon juice into the mixture.
- Sift the flour with the baking powder and salt and gradually add it to the mixture, alternating with the milk, mixing well to avoid lumps.
- Pour the batter into a previously buttered and floured bundt pan (angel cake pan).
- Bake for about 40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center of the ciambellone comes out clean.
- Remove the ciambellone from the oven and let it cool before unmolding.
