Hazelnut and White Chocolate Cake

Ingredients

  • 200 g of white chocolate
  • 150 g of soft butter
  • 150 g of sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 150 g of all-purpose flour
  • 1 packet of baking powder
  • 100 ml of milk
  • 200 g of roasted and chopped hazelnuts

Preparation

  1. Preheat the oven to 180 °C.
  2. Melt the white chocolate in a double boiler or in the microwave, being careful not to overheat it. Allow it to cool slightly.
  3. Whip the soft butter with the sugar using an electric whisk until you obtain a frothy and light mixture.
  4. Add the eggs, one at a time, continuing to whip after each addition.
  5. Gently fold the melted white chocolate into the butter and egg mixture.
  6. Mix the sifted flour with the baking powder, alternating with the milk, stirring with a spatula to avoid deflating the batter.
  7. Finally, incorporate the roasted and chopped hazelnuts, distributing them evenly throughout the batter.
  8. Pour the batter into a previously buttered and floured cake pan or lined with parchment paper.
  9. Bake in the oven for about 40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.
  10. Allow the cake to cool in the pan for a few minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.
