Ingredients
For the Bundt Cake:
- 200 g of all-purpose flour
- 50 g of unsweetened cocoa powder
- 200 g of granulated sugar
- 100 g of soft butter
- 4 eggs
- 100 ml of milk
- 1 sachet of baking powder
- 1 pinch of salt
For the Icing:
- 150 g of dark chocolate
- 50 g of butter
- 2 tablespoons of milk
Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 180 °C.
- Butter and flour a bundt cake pan.
- In a bowl, sift the flour with the cocoa, baking powder, and a pinch of salt.
- In another bowl, cream the soft butter with the sugar until you have a frothy mixture.
- Add the eggs to the butter and sugar mixture, one at a time, fully integrating each before adding the next.
- Alternating, add the dry ingredients and milk to the mixture, starting and ending with the flour.
- Pour the mixture into the prepared pan and level it.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.
- Allow the bundt cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.
Preparing the Icing:
- Melt the broken dark chocolate with the butter and two tablespoons of milk in a double boiler, stirring until you have a smooth, homogenous cream.
- When the bundt cake is cold, pour the chocolate icing over the surface, letting it flow down the sides.
