17/11/2023Fresh tuna pasta is a simple and delicious dish that blends the seafood flavors of tuna with the freshness of tomato. Here is how to prepare it:
Ingredients
- 350 g of pasta of your choice, such as spaghetti or penne
- 300 g of fresh tuna
- 250 g of cherry tomatoes or Pachino tomatoes
- 2 cloves of garlic
- A bunch of fresh parsley
- Extra virgin olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Dry white wine (optional)
- Lemon juice (for marinating the tuna, optional)
- Chili pepper (optional)
Preparation
-
Cut the tuna into cubes and, if you wish, marinate it for a few minutes in lemon juice.
-
In a large pan, heat a stream of extra virgin olive oil and add the garlic, letting it brown to flavor the oil. If you are using chili pepper, add it finely chopped.
-
Add the fresh tuna and cook over high heat for one or two minutes. If you like, deglaze with a splash of white wine.
-
Cut the tomatoes in half and add them to the pan with the tuna, cooking for a few minutes until they start to release their juice.
-
Season with salt and pepper lightly.
-
Meanwhile, cook the pasta in a pot of boiling salted water until the desired doneness.
-
Drain the pasta al dente and transfer it to the pan with the tuna and tomatoes.
-
Mix everything together adding the chopped parsley until the sauce is well combined with the pasta.
Serve the pasta hot, with a sprinkle of fresh pepper and a raw drizzle of extra virgin olive oil for an extra touch of flavor. This dish is ideal for a light yet nutritious and flavorful lunch or dinner.
