Eggless Donut

Here is a recipe for an eggless donut, which is ideal for those who follow a vegan diet or are intolerant to eggs.

Ingredients

  • 300 g of all-purpose flour
  • 200 g of sugar
  • 100 ml of seed oil
  • 250 ml of water or vegetable milk (such as soy or almond milk)
  • 1 packet of baking powder
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • Flavoring to taste (vanilla, grated lemon zest, etc.)

Preparation

  1. In a large bowl, mix the flour with the sugar, baking powder, and pinch of salt.
  2. Add the chosen flavoring, the oil, and half the amount of water or vegetable milk, mixing well with a whisk to avoid lumps.
  3. Gradually incorporate the rest of the water or vegetable milk, continuing to mix until a smooth and homogeneous batter is obtained.
  4. Grease and flour a donut pan or line it with parchment paper.
  5. Pour the batter into the pan and level it with a spatula.
  6. Bake in a preheated oven at 180 °C for about 30-40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the donut comes out clean.
  7. Remove from the oven and let cool before unmolding and serving.

You can further customize the donut by adding ingredients like chopped nuts, chocolate chips, blueberries, or other fruits to the mix to make it even tastier. Remember to check that these additional ingredients are also egg-free.

Curiosity

The eggless donut is an excellent base to personalize and vary according to your tastes and the seasons. For example, in the fall you can add spices like cinnamon and nutmeg for a warm and enveloping touch, while in the summer it’s delicious with the addition of citrus or fresh fruit.
