Coconut Chocolates

Coconut chocolates are an excellent choice for a delightful sweet treat that’s not too complicated to prepare. Here’s a simple version to make delicious coconut chocolates.

Ingredients

  • 200 g of dried grated coconut
  • 200 g of dark chocolate
  • 150 g of condensed milk
  • 50 g of butter
  • Optional: vanilla extract or rum for flavoring

Preparation

  1. In a bowl, mix together the grated coconut and condensed milk. If you like, you can add some vanilla extract or a spoonful of rum for extra flavor.
  2. Shape small balls or cubes with the mixture. If the dough is too sticky, you can dampen your hands with cold water to make it easier to handle.
  3. Let the balls rest in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes, so they will harden a little and be easier to dip in the chocolate.
  4. Meanwhile, melt the chocolate in a double boiler or microwave, making sure to stir it occasionally until it is completely melted. Add the butter to the melted chocolate to make it shinier and more fluid.
  5. Dip the coconut balls into the melted chocolate using a fork or toothpick, making sure they are well covered.
  6. Place the chocolates on a sheet of parchment paper and let them cool to harden the chocolate.
  7. Once the chocolate has solidified, the chocolates are ready to be served or stored in a closed container in the refrigerator.
