Cocoa and Coconut Cake

Ingredients

  • 200 g of all-purpose flour

  • 3 eggs
  • A pinch of salt

Preparation

  1. Preheat the oven to 180 °C.
  2. In a bowl, sift the flour with cocoa powder and baking powder.
  3. In another bowl, beat the eggs with the sugar until you have a frothy and light mixture.
  4. Add the vegetable oil to the mixture of eggs and sugar, continuing to stir.
  5. Incorporate the flour, cocoa, and baking powder mixture into the wet mixture, alternating with the milk. Add a pinch of salt.
  6. Add the desiccated coconut and mix well until you have a homogeneous batter.
  7. Pour the batter into a cake pan previously buttered and floured or lined with parchment paper.
  8. Bake for about 35-40 minutes or until, by inserting a toothpick in the center of the cake, it comes out clean.
  9. Remove the cake from the oven and let it cool completely before unmolding.
  10. If desired, before serving, you can dust the surface of the cake with powdered sugar.
