Chocolate Pudding with Whipped Cream and Strawberries

Ingredients
- 500 ml of whole milk
- 100 g of sugar
- 40 g of cornstarch (cornflour)

Preparation
- Start by melting the dark chocolate in a bain-marie or microwave, being careful not to burn it. Once melted, set it aside.
- Put the milk in a saucepan, keeping some back to dissolve the cornstarch. Heat the milk until it is almost boiling.
- In a separate bowl, mix the cornstarch with the cold milk until you have a lump-free mixture.
- Add the sugar and dissolved cornstarch to the hot milk, stirring constantly.
- Continue to cook over medium heat, stirring, until the mixture becomes as thick as pudding.
- Remove from the heat and add the melted chocolate and a pinch of salt, mixing well to obtain a homogeneous mixture.
- Pour the mixture into dessert glasses or a large mould and let it cool for a few minutes.
- Place the pudding in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours, until it is well firm.
- In the meantime, whip the fresh cream with an electric mixer until it is foamy and firm.
- Clean the strawberries and slice them or cut them into small pieces, as you prefer for garnishing.
- When ready to serve, take the pudding out of the refrigerator, garnish it with whipped cream, and decorate with strawberries.
- If you wish, you can dust a little icing sugar over the strawberries for an extra touch of sweetness.
