Ingredients
- 200 grams of 00 flour
- 50 grams of unsweetened cocoa powder
- 100 grams of sugar
- 100 grams of soft butter at room temperature
- 50 grams of dark chocolate
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon of baking powder
- A pinch of salt
- Powdered sugar for decorating (optional)
Preparation
- Start by preheating the oven to 180°C and preparing a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, sift together the flour, unsweetened cocoa, baking powder, and pinch of salt.
- In another bowl, cream the soft butter with the sugar until you obtain a smooth mixture.
- Add the egg to the butter and sugar cream and continue to work the mixture until it becomes smooth and fluffy.

- Combine the dry ingredients with the wet ones and work the dough until homogeneous.
- With slightly damp hands, form nut-sized balls and gently flatten them to give the biscuits a flat round shape.
- Place the biscuits on the tray leaving some space between them, as they will puff up a bit during cooking.
- Bake for about 10-15 minutes or until the edges are slightly darker.
- Remove the biscuits from the oven and let them cool on a rack before serving. If desired, you can dust them with powdered sugar for a sweet and decorative finish.
