Chocolate Cupcakes

Ingredients
- 150 g of all-purpose flour
- 30 g of cocoa powder
- 100 g of granulated sugar
- 1 packet of baking powder
- 1 pinch of salt
- 2 large eggs
- 120 ml of whole milk
- 80 ml of vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 100 g of dark chocolate (possibly high-quality Italian)
Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 180 °C.
- In a bowl, sift together the flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, beat the eggs, then add the milk, oil, and vanilla extract, mixing well.
- Combine the dry ingredients with the liquid ones and mix until the batter is smooth.
- Chop the dark chocolate and add it to the batter, folding it in gently.
- Fill the paper cups 2/3 full, placed in a muffin tin.
- Bake for about 20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center of a cupcake comes out clean.
- Let the cupcakes cool in the tin for 5 minutes, then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.
If you wish, you can decorate your cupcakes with chocolate ganache or chocolate buttercream to make them even more tempting. For an all-Italian touch, you might add some chopped hazelnuts or almonds to the batter or the decoration for a crunchiness and flavor that recall the Italian confectionery tradition. Happy baking!
