Ingredients
- 115g of soft butter
- 220g of brown sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 190g of all-purpose flour
- 30g of unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda
- 1 pinch of salt
- 200g of chocolate chips or chopped chocolate
Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and prepare baking sheets by lining them with parchment paper.
- In the bowl of a mixer, cream together the soft butter with the brown sugar until the mixture is even and fluffy.
- Add the egg and vanilla and continue to mix until they are well incorporated.
- In a separate bowl, combine the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and mix until a consistent dough is formed.
- Fold in the chocolate chips into the dough.
- Using an ice cream scoop or two spoons, place balls of dough on the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each cookie.
- Bake in the oven for about 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are set but the center is still soft.
- Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
