Chocolate and Yogurt Cake

Ingredients

  • 200 g of all-purpose flour
  • 200 g of sugar
  • 125 g of natural yogurt (no added sugar)
  • 50 g of unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 100 ml of seed oil
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 packet of baking powder
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • Butter and flour for greasing and flouring the cake pan

Preparation

  1. Preheat the oven to 180 °C.
  2. In a bowl, whisk the eggs with the sugar until you get a light and fluffy mixture.
  3. Add the yogurt and seed oil, mix well to incorporate them.
  4. Sift together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and a pinch of salt, then combine the dry ingredient mix with the liquid mixture. Stir until you have a smooth and lump-free batter.
  5. Grease and flour a cake pan (usually a 22-24 cm diameter is fine), pour the batter into it, and level the surface with a spatula.
  6. Bake the cake for about 30-40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  7. Remove the cake from the oven and let it cool before taking it out of the pan.
