Chocolate and Walnut Cake

  • 200 g of dark chocolate
  • 100 g of butter

Preparation

  1. Preheat the oven to 180 °C (356 °F).

  4. In a bowl, whip the eggs with the sugar until you have a light and fluffy mixture.
  5. Add the melted chocolate and cooled butter to the mixture of eggs and sugar, mixing gently.
  6. Incorporate the sifted flour with the baking powder and a pinch of salt, mix until you have a smooth batter.
  7. Add the chopped walnuts to the mixture.
  8. Pour the batter into a previously buttered and floured pan (or lined with parchment paper).
  9. Bake for about 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.
