Chocolate and Walnut Cake

Ingredients
- 200 g of dark chocolate
- 100 g of butter
- 100 g of sugar
- 3 eggs
- 100 g of all-purpose flour
- 100 g of chopped walnuts
- 1 pinch of salt
- 1 teaspoon of baking powder
Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 180 °C (356 °F).
- Melt the dark chocolate in a double boiler or in the microwave, taking care to stir often and not to burn it.
- In a saucepan, melt the butter and let it cool slightly.
- In a bowl, whip the eggs with the sugar until you have a light and fluffy mixture.
- Add the melted chocolate and cooled butter to the mixture of eggs and sugar, mixing gently.
- Incorporate the sifted flour with the baking powder and a pinch of salt, mix until you have a smooth batter.
- Add the chopped walnuts to the mixture.
- Pour the batter into a previously buttered and floured pan (or lined with parchment paper).
- Bake for about 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.
- Let the cake cool in the pan for a few minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely before serving.
