Chicken Strips with Radicchio

Ingredients
- 400 grams of chicken breast
- 1 head of red radicchio
- 2 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
- 1/2 glass of white wine
- 1 clove of garlic
- (Optional) Parmesan or grated Parmigiano to garnish
- (Optional) Some walnuts for a crunchy note
Preparation
- Start by cutting the chicken breast into strips, i.e., thin and not too long strips.
- Wash the radicchio and cut it into ribbons.
- In a frying pan, heat the extra virgin olive oil with a peeled and crushed garlic clove.
- Once the garlic is golden, remove it and add the chicken strips.
- Brown the chicken until it is well seared on all sides.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Deglaze with the white wine and let the alcohol evaporate.
- Add the cut radicchio to the pan, stirring well to flavor everything.
- Cook for another 5-7 minutes, until the radicchio has slightly wilted and the chicken is well cooked.
- If you wish, before removing from the heat, you can add crushed walnuts for a crunchy touch.
- Serve immediately, possibly sprinkled with Parmesan or grated Parmigiano.

Radicchio, typical of the cuisine of Northern Italy and particularly of the Veneto region, brings a slightly bitter taste that pleasingly contrasts with the sweetness of chicken.
