Chicken Strips
17/11/2023Chicken strips are a light and tasty dish, very simple to prepare. Here is how to do it.
Ingredients
- 400 g of chicken breast
- Flour, as much as needed for dusting
- 2 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil
- 1/2 glass of white wine
- Salt, to taste
- Pepper, to taste
- Arugula, optional for garnish
- Parmesan flakes, optional for garnish
- Lemon juice (optional)
Preparation
- Cut the chicken breast into strips not too thin, similar to little “rags”.
- Lightly flour the chicken strips.
- Heat the oil in a large skillet and, when it’s hot, add the chicken strips.
- Sauté the strips over medium-high heat until they are golden on both sides.
- Deglaze with the white wine and let the alcohol evaporate on high heat.
- Lower the flame, cover the pan, and let cook for a few minutes.
- Season with salt and pepper to your taste.
- If you like, you can add some lemon juice to give a touch of freshness to the dish.
- Serve the strips hot and if desired, garnish with fresh arugula and Parmesan flakes.
