Chicken Strips

Chicken strips are a light and tasty dish, very simple to prepare. Here is how to do it.

Ingredients

  • 400 g of chicken breast
  • Flour, as much as needed for dusting
  • 2 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/2 glass of white wine
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste
  • Arugula, optional for garnish
  • Parmesan flakes, optional for garnish
  • Lemon juice (optional)

Preparation

  1. Cut the chicken breast into strips not too thin, similar to little “rags”.
  2. Lightly flour the chicken strips.
  3. Heat the oil in a large skillet and, when it’s hot, add the chicken strips.
  4. Sauté the strips over medium-high heat until they are golden on both sides.
  5. Deglaze with the white wine and let the alcohol evaporate on high heat.
  6. Lower the flame, cover the pan, and let cook for a few minutes.
  7. Season with salt and pepper to your taste.
  8. If you like, you can add some lemon juice to give a touch of freshness to the dish.
  9. Serve the strips hot and if desired, garnish with fresh arugula and Parmesan flakes.
