Ingredients

  • 500 ml of fresh cream to whip
  • 100 g of powdered sugar

  • Lemon juice (optional)

Preparation

  1. Start by placing the bowl and the mixer’s whisk in the refrigerator at least 15 minutes before starting to whip the cream; this will help to obtain a firmer chantilly.

  2. Pour the cold cream into a large bowl. Slice the vanilla pod and scrape the seeds inside, adding them to the cream (if you are using vanilla extract, add it directly to the cream).

  3. Start whipping the cream with the electric mixer at medium speed; when it starts to become frothy, add the powdered sugar gradually.

  4. Continue to whip until the cream is firm and forms soft peaks. Be careful not to whip it too much or it will turn into butter.
